Brand style guide
Project Overview
The Good Mood owner and I decided to jointly develop a particular project that includes a color scheme, brand typography, logo, icons, social media headers, and images. Everything was collected in full in the Brand Style Guide.
Project Role
My client is a big coffee fan. He also has experience in the restaurant business. The last time he learned a lot about coffee and its sorts, and this brought him great pleasure. And now he wants to open a coffee shop. Since I'm the only designer, my task was to work closely together and define the brand's identity.
The Problem & Goal for the Project
The owner loves what he does. He is a big coffee lover and knows almost everything about coffee. And there was no good coffee shop in the area. Good Mood is focused on the local area, and the clients are mainly those who live nearby, as well as their guests, friends, and relatives. Clients must leave in a good mood and invigorating.
My strategy is to create a suitable color scheme and use a modern font and images to match the store's image. Good Mood is launching in 3 months, so the design for the initial branding identity will need to be completed in one month. It also takes a month to develop a website, print flyers for advertisements, and advertise for a social network.
The Process
Color Scheme
I picked up the colors so clients would leave in a good and refreshing mood. Dark colors like brown are usually exciting, while orange makes us cheerful.
Typography
Something appealing with spikiness font makes clean-looking headlines and text as easy to read as any sans serif face. For the main brand font, I selected Futura Bold. Futura Bold can be used for large headings and Futura Medium for navigation links.
I chose Helvetica Regular sans-serif for large, smaller pieces of text, such as menu descriptions or body text on a website. The Helvetica Regular font is a famous sans-serif typeface due to its wide usage.
Logo
The logo is the most recognizable part of the brand. I drew a cup of coffee with a smile icon and gave the name Good Mood that the brand name matched the logo. After the use of fresh coffee, you will feel better, and it will make you cheerful this way.
I used Adobe Illustrator to create the logo and added another color for this logo according to the color scheme.
Icons
I created some icons in Adobe Illustrator for the menu and website. For the product icon, I chose a coffee paper cup. It is implied if you want to stay here or take your coffee.
I used the cake icon for the menu. Good Mood also offers delicious snacks. Both icons use a style and color that matches the brand's color scheme.
Social Media Headers
The social media headers must match this brand’s personality and overall look and feel. All titles have the Good Mood logo. I used Adobe Photoshop to create social media headers and layouts like Facebook covers.
I gathered various images that displayed the personality and colors of this brand and used primary brown and orange colors. They also created three different options to rotate on their social media platforms.
Final Design

Brand Style Guide
I have combined all branding elements into a complete brand style guide. There is a clear recommendation for use in each aspect.
I created the style guide in Adobe InDesign to customize the look and feel to match the colors and typography of the brand. Within the style guide, I included a mission statement, brand personality, color scheme, typography guidelines, logo and logo, variations, iconography, image guidelines, and social media headers.

Takeaways
We had to complete the project within three months. It was also important to constantly keep in touch with customers to correctly understand that the brand matches the general principle of her business and aims to attract her visitors. I met with her when necessary to approve some elements of the brand.
Throughout the project, I worked with various programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. These programs were very well suited to the task, whether it was vector graphics that scaled quickly without quality loss or raster graphics for a social media header.
Project Conclusion
Full completion of the branding package meant establishing a branding identity. The package included a color scheme, typography, logo, icons, image, and headlines for social networks. Style guides combine all of their brandings into one standard instruction. Additionally, a short video was created to complement the package.
